Giving Away the Farm

Agriculture Chairman Frank Lucas (R-Okla.) told the Rules panel that he is committed to moving a nutrition title this summer or early fall. But Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) said the process was “perfectly dreadful” and “an earthquake” to break up the farm bill in this manner.
