The cold and flu season is approaching. We look at what do to prevent a cold or flu or to recover more quickly if infected. A cold or flu is due to a contagious virus causing respiratory infection. A flu is more likely to include a fever and come on more suddenly. As one way to reduce the odds of getting infected, it is often recommended keeping hands clean and away from the face. There are also supplements (some quite inexpensive, such as Vitamin D-3) mentioned as possible aids to prevent or overcome a cold or flu.
