The South Carolina Democratic Party party's executive committee decided Thursday there was not enough evidence of impropriety to nullify the June 8 election victory by Alvin Greene. Mr.Greene was not present at the meeting. He has said publicly he has no intention of ceding the nomination, saying he won a vote the state Election Commission has certified. State Rep. Nikki Haley and U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett on Thursday questioned each other's votes on spending the bailout and their TV ads. Republican gubernatorial front-runner Nikki Haley earned $2,000 consulting for an engineering firm, according to her 2009 federal tax returns, but did not disclose the income on state ethics reports.
