As part of President Obama’s sustained outreach to the American people, this conference will provide leaders from the 564 federally recognized tribes the opportunity to interact directly with the President and representatives from the highest levels of his Administration. Each federally recognized tribe has been invited to send one representative to the conference. There were 564 federally recognized tribes represented, including Alaska's. We interview Jerry Pippin from the "Red People" state in Muskogee(Muskogee),Oklahoma on the state of natives(aboriginal) people in Oklahoma. Oklahoma name is derived from the Choctaw words okla and humma, meaning "red people",[5] and is known informally by its nickname, The Sooner State. Formed by the combination of Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory on November 16, 1907
