After signing Avery Bradley for roughly 8 million a season with his first transaction of the 2014 offseason. Danny Ainge has made his first trade. Danny Ainge used the 10.3 million dollar trade exception that the Celtics got in the deal that sent Hall of Famers Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry and Paul Pierce to Brooklyn to bring in a few more pieces to the puzzle. The Celtics in a deal that also inculdes the Brooklyn Nets will send the 10.3 million dollar trade exception with a future 2nd round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers while the Cavaliers will send Jarrett Jack and Sergey Karasev to Brooklyn and Tyler Zeller along with a future 1st round pick goes to Boston. Brooklyn will send Marcus Thorton to Boston. This deal has given the Celtic's 2 expiring contracts that could come in huge at the trade deadline and another draft pick. This trade has allowed the Cavaliers to bring back Lebron James which was announced this past friday when Lebron opted to leave Miami to return to his home town team. So this move which the Celtic's were one of only a few teams that Cleveland had to try and see if they could convince to help them has pretty much ended the Big 3 era down in south beach.
