Larry Hoover is the ex-leader of the Notorious "Gangster Disciples" gang of Chicago, Illinois. He was convicted of conspiracy drug charges and sentenced to 200 years in the Federal Supermax ADMAX prison in Florence, CO. Many of Larry Hoover's followers has suggested that Hoover's conviction was unjustified and unfair. And that his unfair conviction was due to a conspiracy to keep Larry Hoover away from the black communities, because of his political and social leadership in the black communities of Chicago. Larry Hoover Jr. has organized a online petition to transfer Larry Hoover Sr. to a less secure prison facility. You can view his website at www.freelarryhoover.org and sign the petition to show your support. Larry Hoover has become a righteous individual while in prison. He has reconstructed the Gangster disciples to "Growth and Development", in order for members to promote better political, economical, and social development amongst the black communities. He had organized the "21st century vote", which was a organization that encouraged the youth of Chicago to register and vote, and also participate in local protest against police brutality.
