Ken Plonski - AV Homes - Building in Arizona

Ken Plonski has been involved with the development of active adult communities for nearly 30 years, first with Del Webb Corporation where he helped grow the Sun City brand of active adult communities to new points around the country, including South Carolina, Illinois, Texas and Northern California.  Because of his expertise in public relations and the active adult industry, he was then recruited by WCI Communities in Florida to help that company grow its country club and active adult developments in the sunshine state.   

He is now with AV Homes, Inc. which is building here in Arizona as well as Florida.  AV Homes' core business is the development of innovative active adult communities designed for the 78  million Baby Boomers marching towards retirement.  AV Homes, Inc. is a “turnkey” development company – acquiring, entitling, and developing the land, as well as building and marketing the homes and amenities.

Ken possesses a deep background in working with a variety of real estate and mature market associations.  While at Del Webb, he helped lead the effort to create the Arizona Senior Industries Cluster, an association that recruited companies serving the mature market into the state. 

Ken is a former Chairman of the National Association of Home Builders 50+ Housing Council and is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Editors.  He has also served on the Board of the American Association of Retirement Communities and been active with numerous community organizations in both Arizona and Florida.
