Tom Murray is a story of reinvention.  With a successful career in management, mergers and technology Tom Murray settled into a nice retirement. That however is where this story begins. The feeling of restlessness and things yet to be accomplished took over.

So, after a short retirement, Tom entered the Pet Care business in late 2005 launching a company called The Paws Concierge and in 2006 opened its first full-service pet resort location, subsequently named The Paws Resort & Spa located in North Phoenix.

The Paws Resort & Spa introduced Cage-Free boarding, daycare and grooming, webcams, and all inclusive pricing supported with superior customer service to the Arizona pet community.

In a few short years, The Paws Resort & Spa has received the award for Best Pet Care Facility in Phoenix AZ for two straight years. A second Paws Resort & Spa location opened in 2007 located Scottsdale, Arizona.

In October of 2009, Tom launched the franchise offering, Villa La Paws® Resort & Spa pet care facilities.  The award winning pet service offerings, programs and superior customer service are the cornerstones for success in the Villa La Paws® Resort & Spa franchising program.

Tom temporarily suspended the national franchising rollout in 2010 due to the weak economy and focused on local/regional franchising efforts. The national franchising campaign will begin again in 2012.

In June of 2011, Villa La PAWS opened its 12,000 Sq Ft, indoor/outdoor Canine Training Academy located at 32nd St & Shea.

Today, Villa La PAWS has garnered additional customer recognition awards and continues to be a dominating force in the Pet Care Industry in Arizona.
