  • Dawn Yoder,"Real Women Leading: With Proverbs 31 Values"

    in Books

Today’s marketplace is not always a “values-friendly” environment. Business leaders Lisa Troyer and Dawn Yoder show you that you can live and thrive in a “valueless” workplace when you live by biblical values and principles.
Real Women: Leading with Proverbs 31 Values is a must-have leadership resource for today’s Christian woman. Written by women in the marketplace, Real Women cultivates biblical truth, credible relationship development, and practical application into everyday life through ten foundational principles. Once women embrace these ten principles, they will soon discover the multiple attributes of the Proverbs 31 woman in today’s marketplace and learn practical ways to implement the wisdom from that timeless Scripture passage.
Women will be encouraged to develop their God-given gifts and talents in the marketplace as they live out the principles that invite others to embrace the equality-inspiring values they live by. Knowing that we are not the end users of the gospel message, the Proverbs 31 leader will find the initiative to inspire the upcoming generation to view womanhood as a gift and continue the learning process that will impact generations to come.

  • We're Talking Books, with Wendy Alec!

    in Books

Today's interview is with Wendy Alec, the author of a new book that is entitled, Visions From Heaven: Visitations to My Father's Chamber.  This stirring book recounts a series of extraordinary, supernatural encounters that Wendy experienced after a prolonged season of deep, personal trauma. In a series of panoramic visions, the Father and Jesus take her on an extraordinary journey. From the Father's Chambers to the brilliance and sheer majesty of the Throne Room to Satan's trophy rooms to the macabre trading floors of the souls of men.
If you have ever been through a season of adversity and testing (or are going through one now), and you have found yourself at the sheer rock face, encountering some of the fiercest trials and testings of your life, if your heart is secretly breaking with a sense of  bewilderment and abandonment, if Heaven itself has seemed silent--so very, very silent in your time of need--the Father's answers to your questions will bring surprise, challenge, immense encouragement, and such great hope.
Wendy Alec was born in London. Coming from a background in the arts and media, she is a prolific writer--the author of The Fall of Lucifer, The First Judgment, Son of Perdition, A Pale Horse, and Journal of the Unknown Prophet. Her style of writing is unique and powerful. Wendy is the co-founder with her husband, Rory, of God-TV, an international media ministry.
This new book, Visions From Heaven, is endorsed by Kim Clement, Cindy Jacobs, Shawn Bolz, Patricia King, Bob Jones, Jim Goll, the Rev. Canon Dr. Andrew White (vicar of Baghdad), Kris Vallotton, Ian Clayton, and Dr. Mark Chironna. The forewords for this book are by Pastor Benny Hinn and pastor Bill Johnson.

    in Books

Tune in for Spotlight Author Janice G. Ross's live chat with Rave Reviews Book Club board member Teri Garringer.
Janice Ross was born in Guyana, South America and migrated to the USA in 1980. Although her citizenship certificate now reads the United States of America, she considers herself a citizen of the world. Sure she has not physically been around the world and back, but she’s travelled in her mind and dreams.
Janice is an author. She enjoys writing about social issues and personal experiences. Janice’s debut release was entitled Damaged Girls. She uses the three books in that series to detail the effects of different forms of abuse, discussing issues that are known to be taboo. Her next release, Jumping Ship, is a dedication to her country of birth and an introductory novella to the Island Hopping Series – due out in 2014. It’s poised to be a colorful and emotional experience of life, love and family. As of present, she is also a contributor to a short story collection – Just Between Us, Inspiring Stories by Women. And lastly, Loving Nate is a novella about the realities of losing one’s self to love.
Janice enjoys reading. And is drawn to stories with distinct characters that she can love or hate, characters she can form alliances with or characters that she can swear off and despise. She is also weak for a good cultural tale, preferably in the form of historical fiction. Janice loves to be taken off guard by clever language and settings.
Janice is also a devout supporter and promoter of other authors through social media. She hosts a weekly show, Cultural Cocktails, on the largest social radio network, Blog Talk Radio.
