Join Pleasance Silicki of BookJourneys Radio as the interviews author Maritta Philp on the writing and publishing of her book, Medicine Woman: The Hard-Working Doctor's Guide to Creating a Life of Freedom and Choice.

Dr. Maritta Philp knows all too well the hard work involved in being a medical doctor, and for one such as her, there's always the conundrum of living it with all the sacrifices involved or to live it based on freedom and choice. Her book is all about the latter and is for other medical professionals like her who get so absorbed in their career that they forget about living the life they deserve.

Her topic is the resolution to a specific problem that her other doctors would appreciate. Once she found it, the rest was easy. "I had a plan and could stick to it," she said.
