Military Author Radio, www.militaryauthorradio.com with Director Dr. Tom Gauthier and Dari Bradley CEO of Patriot Media, Incorporated, are proud to continue to promote Military Authors in support of the Military Author Industrial Complex.  Welcome Adam Makos!

Adam Makos is the author of A HIGHER CALL: An Incredible True Story of Combat and Chivalry  in the War-Torn Skies of World War II

December 20th, 1943, in the skies above war-torn Europe, two enemies – an American B-17 pilot and a veteran German fighter ace – met in what became one of World War II’s most unusual encounters.  The little-known true story of the fighter ace who showed mercy to his adversary by escorting the severely damaged B-17 to safety has been upheld by military historians as a testament to the valor, courage, and honor of a bygone time. The book describes the dramatic meeting between Charlie Brown, an American B-17 pilot and Franz Stigler, a German fighter pilot, over wartime Germany on December 20th, 1943

Adam Makos is a journalist, historian, and editor of the military magazine, Valor, a publication he founded while in college. In his fifteen years of work in the military field, Adam has interviewed many veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and present-day wars. He’s flown a B-17 bomber, a T-38 fighter with the Air Force.
