Welcome Gordon Krantz!

Gordon Krantz Served in the US Army in Europe from 1943 to 46 as an engineer/infantryman with the 537th Engineer Light Ponton Company. His experiences from basic training to war’s end are described in his book, Ordinary GI: An Ordinary Draftee in WWII.

In one way he was not an ordinary GI. He looked, experienced and remembered his experiences and was the one of his comrades who wrote it down for posterity.

Gordon has written eight historical and historical/fiction books about his travels, experiences and interests.

After WWII he entered the world of rehabilitation psychology, culminating in a doctorate in 1976 from the University of Minnesota.

He’s currently working on his parent’s biographies and a book of poetry.

We are proud to continue our series Spotlight on the Medal of Honor with Tom Gauthier.
