Edward Vasta is a medievalist with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, a Fulbright Scholarship for the study of Italian literature at the University of Florence, Italy, an MA from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. from Stanford. Having taught at Notre Dame for forty years, he has published five scholarly books, many scholarly articles and reviews, three novels (Love and Redemption, To Carthage We Came, Family Passions), as well as two short-story collections: Tales from the Hidden Apple and Mud Pie Mysteries: Fables about Children in God’s World (all OakTara).
Edward and his wife, Geraldine, have been married for 58 years. They have six children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
