I have said time and time again, that when meeting with families in these instances and under these circumstances, I am at a loss of words; no words can remove the pain. However, Kyam's mother is not at a loss of words.  On Sunday, August 11, 2013, the victim's mother uttered repeatedly, "this is mine!" meaning, this pain is mine, this fight is mine, this human being that was left to die is mine! This week we continue our "... and the Truth Shall Make You Free" series by presenting more living history.  On our journey back through time, we take a closer look at one of the greatest business strategy, or ponzi scheme, known to mankind:  Systems of Sharecropping!  These business practices were prevalent throughout the southern United States.  Although sharecropping has defined start and end dates, the South knew and respected few boundaries; in many instances, these practices continued well into the 1970's. Our presenters are Rosa Lee Smith (Mom) and Abraham Jenkins (Cousin Abe), and possibly a few other mystery guests. They speak from their experiences and their hearts. Feel their pain, touch their hope, and embrace their determination to endure and succeed. Ask questions and share your stories; we are all in this together. This week we take a look at the burgeoning "Occupy Wall Street" movement.  We explore the concerns of the 99%, give or take a few percents, and try to understand "why now."  However relevant, the underlying concerns and causes of this movement are certainly not new.  In fact, they have become integral parts of a certain percentage of the populous' daily struggle -- in good, bad and indifferent economies. We carefully present answers to an ever growing question in this movement.  "Where are all the African-Americans, i.e. the Black folks?"  In short, we're here -- right where we've always been ... Deep in the Struggle.
