Season of Lent is for reflection, soul searching and purification. Our Lord, Jes-us Christ became God in flesh. Holy Emmanuel I Selassie I Jah RastaFarI. Jes-us faced hunger, thirst, seclusion. peril, and ultimately death of the temple not for pleasure, but to show InI that life is always faced with obstacles and threats. HE did so with such a dignity. Like Christ, we must know who InI are. InI are Gods. Jah dwells within INI. InI are reflections of "R"ighteousness in flesh. This is not to say that INI are "R"ighteous every second of the day, InI are man. Man has 2 sides- Without Righteousness, how could InI know what evil is. Without day, how could InI know what night is? Back to Lent: During Lent InI fast. This is a devotion for GOD, JAH. InI are not to make a show of fasting--InI just do it. InI eliminate many things from our diet-InI are vegan/vegetarian anyway--so this is not difficult to do. Jes-us spent 40 days in the desert, EliJAH spent 40 days/nights trodding to Mount Horeb, King MOSES spent 40 days/night on Mount Sinai, InI trodded 40 days/night to Zion, in the time of Noah, it rained 40 days/nights.....so let InI reflect, soul search and purify.
