JUST MY LUCK

 

Morning to all and a Blessed Thanksgiving to each of you.

The sun is rising here in the great state of Kentucky, there is frost on the windshields and we're wrapped up in blankets getting ready to spend a quiet, reflective day.  Of course we're sad that we can't be with our families for Thanksgiving, but we have each other and our wonderfully comical animals.  This afternoon we'll probably venture out to the local homeless shelter to help clean up and spend some time outside of ourselves for a change.

It would be easy to curl up into a ball of self pity, because we're scared about our finances and scared about what's going on in the world and scared about whether or not we'll get to remain here in this state for much longer....ALL of us have a huge list of things we COULD be afraid of it we choose it.

So this is me reaching out to those of you who might be alone this Holiday or might be feeling low or even depressed....make a decision to step outside of yourself today.  If you can't leave the house today, find something constructive to do and do it;  make something, bake something, write something, clean something, organize your closets, make phone calls to those you don't often make time for, reach out and get on your knees at some point and pray to say thank you for all of your Blessings.  YOU have them, we ALL do.

I'm not certain why Holidays make it so easy to count misfortunes and not Blessings but you have the power within YOU to choose for happiness and positivity!  DO IT!  If I can, you can.  ((hugs))

An Angelic Reminder:  If you subscribe to luck, then you have given over your wondrous gift of human choice to the merciless master of superstition and the random beneficence of luck or fate.

Have you ever said, "With my luck...," and then followed it with something negative?  "With my luck it will rain Sunday and ruin my dress."  "With my luck an asteroid will come through my ceiling."  Think about what we are saying when we make comments about our bad luck.  First, we are assuming that there is a force called bad luck, and, second, we are admitting something truly depressing:  we are feeling a lack of grace in our lives.  Have you ever entered a contest and then said, "Oh, I never win anything,"  meaning, "I am such a victim of the mean ol' god of fate"?  The angels want us to stop limiting our experience of life with labels of good or bad luck and instead embrace the idea that we are Blessed.  No matter what life brings at any moment, it's all a Blessing.

Today, throw out your concept of luck, and let yourself be Blessed.  To be Blessed means we have gratitude, gratitude means we know whence we came and will trust God in every situation.  Buddhists look to the quality of equanimity, the ability to accept all events, happy or not, without judgement, as perfect parts of the whole.  It takes time to shake the shackles of superstition and embrace being Blessed.  The angels will always be on hand to show you the humor of your ways, anytime the word luck comes into your mind.  With your luck...

Oh how I love you guys!!  The past two days have been icky for me...just not feeling myself and I've spent a lot of time just sitting back and watching.  The COMMENTS you all leave are fantastic and I am so encouraged that you are coming back to read them and comment on what other people say and so forth.  This is EXACLTY what I'd always hoped for here!

New faces always excite me too.  I just believe that these are such scary times for SO MANY of us, that if we stick together and offer each other love and comfort and even advice and especially prayers, we will all get through to the other side where there are much better days ahead--FOR ALL of us!

I sincerely thank ALL of you for your love and support.  I know if I didn't have you all to turn to and to interact with, I'd probably not be able to get through all this muckity muck that is going on right now.  YOU are a Blessing in MY life--major big time!  Thank you!

I wanted to mention too that I'm raffling off one of my original spirit paintings.  These have been part of my private collection for years and will one day be part of my own series of angel cards.  It's in development right now, but it's taking forever...Anyway, these were pieces I did in the very beginning; each came to me during meditation and each of them has a specific channeled message.  I didn't know at the time, that the angels were helping me along my path.

THE BRIGHT SIDE

An Angel Reminder:  The bright side is the right side.

The expression, "Look on the bright side" is not just a platitudinous crumb thrown to the suffereing by the nauseatingly cheerful.  It is, in fact, one of our most powerful universal survival tools.  Dr. Peter Lodewick, an M.D. who wrote a great book called A Doctor Looks at Diabetes:  His and Yours, makes a wonderful observation that applies not just to diabetics but to all people.  He said that while many diabetics resent having to take insulin, he has always regarded it as a blessing.  "Were it not for the discovery of insulin in 1921, my chances of survival would have been slim," reflects Dr. Lodewick.  "I am both amazed and thankful, viewing insulin as a miracle drug that gives me strength and vigor."  No other comment could stand as better proof of the fact that in life, it is always possible to look on the bright side--and that when we do, we stand a better chance of living better and longer.  Statistics prove that it's the diabetics who regard insulin as a curse and a curtailment of basic freedom who have the most trouble controlling their disease.  But Dr. Lodewick leads an active, happy, and exceedingly productive life, particularly in his efforts to help others do the same.  We have the choice as to how circumstances will affect us.  We can either curse our insulin or use it to our advantage.  But the bottom line is, if we'd be dead without it, it must be a blessing in some form.

Think of some things that you view as restrictions in your life.  Now turn them over and see if they have a bright side.  How do you think you attitude determines the degree to which you are either restricted or liberated?

An Angelic Reflection:  When I look at the bright side I see the light.

Body Care

Card Meaning: The angels urge you to care for your physical body. You are asked to eat healthful foods, to exercise regularly, and to avoid toxins.

This card is your angels' way of asking you to pay attention to your physical body. Perhaps you resist this guidance, and the angels have repeatedly come to you about this topic. They remind you that the body is an instrument that, when well tuned, emanates greater harmony. Your spirit is like the music of a grand piano, and the angels ask you to maintain that piano.

Your angels know that if you follow this guidance, you will feel terrific. Your increased energy and happiness is your reward for following the angels' suggestions. They will help you find the time and motivation to exercise. They will also help you lose your cravings for unhealthful substances. And, the angels will help you enjoy the newfound pleasures that come from purifying and maintaining your physical body.

Serenity

Card Meaning: You are moving into a time of greater inner peace and tranquility.

Peace of mind means feeling secure, and knowing that you're always provided for. Even if your logical mind cannot fathom how a challenge could be resolved, peace of mind means that you trust that God will create a miraculous solution. This sort of faith is always warranted because faith is a key component in experiencing such miracles.

By drawing this card, the angels reassure you that peace of mind is within you. You can feel serene, even in the midst of great turmoil. It's a mistake to think that you have to wait until your life is problem free before you can be happy and peaceful. The opposite is actually true. First, you work toward serenity, and then your life challenges lessen and disappear. Serenity is your natural state of mind, and the angels are now working with you to actualize this.

Miracles

Card Meaning: Miracles are occurring all around you right now. Begin to notice them, and you will experience even more miracles.

This card is the angels' way of telling you to expect a miracle. Perhaps you feel that you need one right now because you can't see any other way to a solution. Be open to allowing God resolve your challenges in ways that will surprise you. You open the door for miracles when you become willing to surrender your fears to God. Visualize the angels carrying away the issue, and feel yourself supported by God's wisdom and creativity.

As you relax into the Source, you are assured that blessings are surrounding you right now. Be open to a miracle coming your way.

Hi all.

I haven't made the transition to blogtalk just yet but I'm on my way!  Currently I am co-hosting a show on Monday nights at 8pm EST with my fiance, actor Chuck Wagner.

For the past few weeks, we've been giving away Sterling Silver Blessings Bracelets to the members of our chat room.  In order to win, you have to be present and logged in, but you also have to know the secret word.  We've taken to making silly videos to announce them.

I know it's on a different network but ALL of you are welcome to come join in the fun.  Our show was originally slated for me to do Live Angel Workshops but because Charlie and I have such a diverse group of friends and so forth, we use this time to promote goodness and light with a strong emphasis on humor and angels.  Charlie will be inviting a lot of his celebrity friends to join us and I have quite a list of notable angel experts, authors, artists and composers who will also be visiting.

PURITY Current mood: contemplative Category: Dreams and the Supernatural   Blessings and Love to all. One of my favorite things to remember that there is never a time or place where God is not present in all of our lives.  It's not a secret that for the past couple of days, I've been up and down with my emotions and not really understanding what the root cause was.  I think it has just been a jumble of things like financial concerns, the Holidays looming, my daughter being gone, and so on.  Yesterday, I received a string of emails from various sources, all of them unexpected, yet pointing me in a certain direction for comfort.  Instead of fighting it, I just flowed with it and each time I did, I found another piece of my own personal puzzle, solved.  Surrender and Release at work?  Absolutely. Here is today's selection from the Angel Courage Book: PURIFICATION An Angel Reminder:  It's never too late to come clean. The idea of purity can be downright intimidating.   Who but the Holy Virgin could be free of impurity?  But the angels would rather we take a different view of purity, regarding it not as a hopeless ideal beyond human reach but as a form of spiritual cleansing.  We know it's a good idea to bathe frequently;  why not accord our souls the same courtesy and care?  There are all sorts of ways we can purify our lives that have nothing to do with whether or not we are virgins or saints.  We can do service for others.  We can spread joy and hope.  We can refrain from judgment and practice understanding.  Pure actions, which are those taken in the spirit of love and concern, not only cleanse our souls, they also uplift the energy around us and gladden the angels' hearts. What does purity mean to you?  Retaining your virtue?  Not having impure thoughts?  Or taking a proactive role in making the world a better place?  List some ways in which you could purify your life from the standpoint of your spiritual self and its effect on others.  One definition of pure is "complete and thorough."  What things could you do to make yourself more complete, more thoroughly part of God?
