I am glad you did the show about HIV. There are not a lot of people willing to speak out about it since the subject seems to be taboo. Like cancer, many people feel it is off-limits, or that they will be deemed as having it if they talk about it. I like that you are bold enough to put issues out that are hard for others to tread upon. Keep up the great work, you will go far, just keep moving and paying it forward. --Mrs. Intimacy of www.backtointimacy.c om

There are several things that I have witnessed about marriages. I myself have never been married, but I have many friends who have been married and divorced within 2 years because one or the other was not ready to get married. First thing I have leaerned is that marriage is a SPIRITUAL bond, not a PHYSICAL bond. The Bible says in Genesis 2:18, "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Adam's attraction to Eve was not based on her physical appearance. The Bible says in Genesis 2:23, "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." The fact that she was taken out of him was the foundation of their relationship (Genesis 2:21-22). She was literally a part of him. In my opinion, the main problem is the fact that we base relationships on the physical instead of the spiritual. It is not based purely on emotion because our emotions change from day to day. I have made many mistakes in relationships because of this thinking. Once I finally decided to seek God's guidance regarding the matter, then I found that what He had designed for marriage and relationships is far better than what I had thought. It was far better than I could have ever imagined. Sex in a relationship outside of marriage can cause so many complications. First off, when you become sexually involved with someone, you create a bond that is hard to break if you decide to go separate ways. It also sets a foundation and changes the focus on the relationship. If one person changes their mind and decides to remain celibate, it will cause many problems in the relationship. There were a few things Mr. Montgomery said specifically that I would like to address. He stated (I'm paraphrasing) "You can't marry someone you don't physically know." How you start a relationship sets the foundation for how the relationship will go. Although there may be a physical attraction, you must get beyond the physical to see what that person is like on the inside first of all, without the complications of sexual activity. Sexual activity can be a big distraction and may even ruin a relationship. Mr. Montgomery made reference to the times his mother grew up in. In my opinion, these are the times we need to get back to. These are the relationships that are still going strong and literally till death do us part. These are the marriages that are 40, 50, and 60 years strong. The thoughts above are just my humble opinion on the subject based on what I've witnessed and what I've expreienced. Have a blessed day.
