    I can feel you even now as you read these words,
    Loving a little creature in the fields within the hedge I call home.

    The memory of you,
    that is the root of my heart has called every particle of my being
    to point the true north
    of your unfaltering currents.

    Your meditation sustains my existence.

    Your gentle promptings direct the movements of the correction of my soul,
    on its journey through the pathless wilderness that impels me.

    As we exodus from the world of branches toward very root of the White Fire
    from where the eternal tree grows,
    the unspeakable betrays its silence only with a hallowed song
    that sings your very name to me.

    And I can only sing back to you from my heart,
    for my voice fails to resound from within the wooded canyon
    that I carve underfoot,
    on my way to you.

    I can sense you here,
    as these thoughts echoed in your memory,
    on the wings of the one moment,
    completed at the extension of your love for me,
    launched in to existence behind the flaming curtain beyond the sky.

    It's as if you were here in this canyon with me,
    on these words with me, like a ranger,
    hidden, but tracking my every move
    as a protector who keeps vigilance over his kin.

    As if you were the trees,
    the ferns and the gullies I navigate cross,
    and even the stones that I used as an indigenous pathway across the river.

    Where I have journeyed you were there, like a thief,
    stealing the stones from underneath me as I stride across them,
    from one to the next.

    You set my pace,
    my destination and my pathway with your concealed manoeuvres,
    and I follow as a grateful slave to my destiny.

    And this wilderness, that once made me into an alien with its foreboding,
    now becomes the new home of my soul
    as I forever rejoice in the majesty of Your Kingdom.
