EcoAlert with Nadine Patrice and Anceleau Joseph of Vision Marien

Today's show will focus on Haiti. Operation Green Leaves was founded in 1991 by Nadine Patrice and several people concerned the ecological side of Haiti. She recognized that while the social issues facing the country were being addressed by many organizations and governments, the environment was being overlooked.

Nadine identified deforestation as a serious issue and made replanting trees her mission.

Although EcoAlert has a regional message, Haiti is still her primary concern. So, today's guest, Anceleau Joseph and Nadine will talk about Operation Green Leaves and Anceleau's organization, Vision Marien - www.visionmarien.org

The Mission of Group Vision Marien is to contribute to the social and economic emancipation of the population of the Northwest and other regions of Haiti by providing and supporting the provision of high quality educational programs, health and social services, environmental protection, and economic development opportunities to urban and rural communities of these regions.
