FM 7-0 helps develop an expeditionary Army, while training the force in offensive, defensive and stability operations anywhere along the spectrum of conflict. This is the first time training for stability operations has been given this type of emphasis. The manual also allows commanders greater flexibility in how they manage training. The Army is also building the Army Training Network, a Web site that will provide lessons, examples, best practices associated with FM 7-0 and leader development.
