The City of Chicago Bicycling Program featuring the new Kinzie Street dedicated bike path, is now in its 21st year in existence.  It was the brain child of former Mayor Richard M. Daley who nurtured and guided the project to its present dimensions.  It was Mayor Daley’s articulated desire that Chicago become known as the most bike-friendly city in the nation.

BIKE IN THE FAST LANE CHICAGO is both challenged by that ambition and committed to the idea’s realization. Toward that end, BIKE IN THE FAST LANE CHICAGO will work with the City of Chicago and biking groups throughout the Chicagoland area to raise awareness of and appreciation for this wondrous and winding system of interlocking lanes, paths and trails.
