The "Twinkie Defense" explains why certain individuals cannot work effectively one-on-one with others. They excuse themselves by saying, "I ate too much sugar and I had a temporary emotional episode." Dr. Roger Hawkins discusses why, on that day, these two people cannot stand each other. It may persist; they never need to explain it; they just don’t like each other. They may not ever like each other. However, they usually can’t bring department cooperation to a halt by themselves. Why not?
