Is it cheating if you are emotionally involved?

Is it cheating if you are emotionally involved with someone else other then who you are involved with?  We spend more time with the people we work with then the person who we are involved with.   We share conversation and even eat lunch, or what about the friends we make facebook or any other social network.  Is giving yourself away emotionally really cheating?   LET'S TALK!!!!!
