Host Deardra Shuler talks to radio personality Bob Law, former host of WWRL's "Night Talk," about the status of Black Radio after the loss of KISS-FM in its recent merger with WBLS.
A community activist, Bob Law is the founder of the National Respect Yourself Youth Organization, which established a national network of Respect Yourself Saturdays involving academia. The Respect Organization has operated a baseball little league, a summer entrepreneur program which helps young people start their own business. Also Bob Law organized the NY Peacekepers campaign which encourages non-violence.
Mr Law is involved in film projects in conjunction with the Black Spectrum theatre in Queens where he is chairman of the board. He is the playwright of "The Magic Clown," a play for children that is still being performed in NYC Public shools and he authored "Voice for the Future." Bob's Health and Wellness store, Namaskar and his "Bob Law's Seafood Cafe" is located in Brooklyn.
