ANTOINETTEMARIE DAVIS is a native of Michigan. She was raised by her parents, Andre &Doris Davis. She has an older sister, Andrea L. Davis. As a child, Antoinetteenjoyed working with math problems and she often spent lots of time so that shecould figure out the solution to the problems. Over time, this love for mathled her to pursue a career in mathematics. She has had many role models who haveencouraged her to pursue her goals and dreams of becoming a MathematicsProfessor. In any event, Antoinette enjoys teaching mathematics because itgives her a chance to show students that they can learn math in a way that theycan understand it. Teaching helps her to expound on the math lessons that shehas learned throughout her college years. Overall, Antoinette is a woman wholoves the Lord and she sees him as a consistent source of strength in her life.
She is an alumnus of Lake Michigan College, Oakwood University, andWayne State University. She has earned an Associate of Arts Degree in SecondaryEducation, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics, and a Master of ArtsDegree in Applied Mathematics. Davis currently serves as a UniversityInstructor while she pursues Doctoral study in the area of Instruction/Administrationwith a specialization in Mathematics Education.
