Today we shall have a podcast chat with the Mayor Of Boley, Oklahoma, Joan Matthews.

Boley is a historical Black Towship that still exist. The town was founded in 1903 and it is home to "Boley Rodeo & BBA Festival"  In addition, Boley was the home of the first black owned power & electric company in the United States; the first black owned bank to receive a national charter, and the first black owned telephone company in the USA.

Mayor Matthews will give us a history lesson on black towns and share with us the history of Boley and what is happening in Boley today.
