  Consumer Advocacy with Harold Cameron Radiio Show -Federal Trade Commission Top Consumer Complaints
  

  My Consumer Advocacy show today was about The Federal Trade Commission's, (FTC's), List of Top Consumer Complaints. I listed 15 of the top consumer complaints on today's show. For more information about the list visit:

  I discussed how file sharing programs are leaving consumers vulnerable to hackers for identity theft and what consumers can do about it to protect themselves. Visit:

  I also shared information that consumers can have a lock or freeze put on their credit reports to stop identity thieves from taking out a loan or credit in their name. Visit:

  I recommended that consumers have a fraud alert placed on their credit cards. Consumers are able to do this because of FACTA,  the Fair And Accurate Credit Transactions Act. Visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_and_Accurate_Credit_Transactions_Act (A Wikipedia Article about FACTA).
  
  Also shared in the show was information about how consumers can stop debt collectors from calling them...especially if the calls become so persistent that they are harassing in nature.   I mentioned the LifeLock Identity Theft Protection Service on the show as well. This is definitely something consumers should look into to protect their identities from theft.
