The U.S. Senate passed a bi-partisan bill that would allow U.S. citizens to be locked up without trial indefinitely. Rep. Ron Paul (R) and Sen. Rand Paul (R) have strongly oppossed the bill saying “We are talking about people who are merely suspected of a crime, and we are talking about American citizens. If these provisions pass, we could see American citizens being sent to Guantánamo Bay.” President Obama said he might veto the legislation.
