By now, I hope you've listened to the Snow Edition of the Black Daria Files, where I broke down the Top 10 reasons why women should not date rappers/entertainers. Hell, this may also apply to a few men...To recap, here are Numbers 10-5:10. Rappers are usually pimps. Since Cocktail decided to let the cat out the bag, let me oblige. You've seen the pimp videos, and the rappers that appear there. If you're a groupie or industry person, you've been out at the club, and seen these people in action. Cocktail isn't telling us stuff that we didn't know, it's just that a few million other people know now too. And Mz. Berry. And Jaguar.9. Rappers have no business sense, making them bad providers. You get an advance, think you're hot, and start getting it in with other chicks around the US...if you're lucky, the globe. It takes a lot of money to keep a crib in different states; not to mention the parties, clothes, marketing, and other things the labels no longer pay for, because they barely exist.8. Entourages kill a rapper's professional life, therefore ruining their personal life. It's very simple. You find the hottest girl out of the "bunch" and the entourage gets the leftovers. You get the videos with the featured chicks, and they get leftovers from Craft Services. You get the stand and repeat pictures, and they get to partake in the open bar. At some point, someone's gonna want more, and that's when the trouble begins. Suddenly, Ray-Ray calls you with the scoop he didn't feel the need to tell you over the last 8 months.7. Inability to commit based on surroundings. So basically, there's no infrastructure that supports a healthy, lasting relationship due to the following elements: sex, drugs, and hip-hop.6. The road life. The hours, days and weeks on the road can ruin a relationship faster than an Acela Express from New York to Philly. Simply put, please don't believe these men aren't sleeping around with the ladies who find their way backstage.
