Dress Up! America, was founded in 2010, as a vehicle to empower the youth by Desmond E. Wilder, a professional speaker, business consultant, publisher, and author of "Anatomy of Style". Known as A Change Agent, Desmond has purpose Dress Up! America to push the boundaries of youth as it relates to building their self-esteem, professional development and using their appearance as a tool.
Dress Up! America partners with High Schools, Colleges and several notable organizations to fulfill the mission. Its highly effective motivational and inspirational workshops have developed a youth program with Downtown Brooklyn Neighborhood Alliance, conducted interactive mentoring workshops for both boys and girls with Brooklyn Jobs Corps Academy, Howard University School of Journalism and has expanded its message of self-empowerment by joining forces with Freedom Scholars of America.
To Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Legacy of Civil Rights Leader, Medgar Wiley Evers, Dress Up! America in partnership with Medgar Evers College- Male Development and Empowerment Center, will feature on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM "Men of Medgar in Suits", a Style Showcase and Walk the Campus event.
