In 2002, states around the country spoke loud and confident about reform. For example, Maryland envisioned assessment test to ensure minimum standards and Michigan put forth an Algebra II requirement for all high school graduates. However, the Education Industrial Complex had another ideas. Standards merely get in the way of sky rocketing salaries, higher school budgets, dumb and happy parents, great pensions and fringe benefits. Come join BA! expand
