Ermon K. Jones’ two college degrees, sports fame, charisma and good looks meant nothing when he was denied the right to apply for a job and buy a new house in his own hometown. In Justice on the Jersey Shore: How Ermon K. Jones Ignited Change and Won, author Dr. Geneva Jones Williams tells how the injustice her father suffered turned him into an agent of historic change. Ermon Jones’ dramatic story, taken from the genesis of the Civil Rights Movement, demonstrates the transformational power of inspired leadership—then and now.

Dr. Geneva Williams led the United Way, founded an innovative multi-sector partnership model, and launched a new leadership program for girls. She raised millions for community change initiatives, and served as an education leader. After an award-wining 30+ year nonprofit career, she founded Dr. Geneva Speaks, LLC to consult, coach and speak about leadership for greater purpose and impact.

Dr. Geneva hosts the Ignite2Impact podcast on iTunes and iHeart Radio. Her weekly blogs inspire women to create endless possibilities for a vibrant, exciting life. Crain’s Detroit Businesscites her as one of Detroit’s most influential women, and she is a NAWBO Top 10 Michigan Business Woman.

Dr. Geneva won the prestigious title of Ms. Black Fit and Fine, a beauty pageant encouraging healthy lifestyles for women over 50.  She’s an alumna of Morgan State University serving on its Foundation board, earned a doctorate in education leadership from Wayne State University, and is a member of Fellowship Chapel.

Dr. Geneva is a Golden Soror of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the celebrated author of Justice on the Jersey Shore.
