In light of the fact that African American communities suffer from a myriad of problems – The question begs to be asked: Is There a Leadership Void in the African American Community? In the fifties and sixties it was easy to know who was for the black and who was a sell-out. Today, the distinction between the two is not so easy. In order to answer this question, we must first answer the following questions: What is today’s African American leaders’ strategy for uplifting the marginalized and disenfranchised African American communities? How do today’s so-called Black leaders compare to the Black leaders of the 50’s and 60’s? Who is providing the vision and leadership to the African American youth? This week I will give you my view on the current state of African American Leaders and leadership. I welcome you to join me in what will be a spirited and enlightening conversation. You are also welcome to ask questions or give your opinion on the subject: The State African American Leadership
