"Black" or "African American" - The Debate Continues.....

Last week we discussed the polls that were taken over the last ten years that asked the descendants of African slaves the question: What term do you prefer "Black" or "African American"? The polls indicate that the term "African American" was preferred by those who had a preference; but only by a few percentage points (53% 47%). Most respondents (60%)had no preference and was fine with either "Black" or "African American". Many callers were not able to get in due to the length of the show; therefore, we will continue the debate on this Thursday's show.
