In today's fast paced technical society people have so much to do with so little time that having a conversation verbally is very unlikely, especially concerning business.
Text messaging and emails allow an indivivual the ability to communicate with whomever they want to at their leisure, while multitasking with whatever they are doing. Yet words themselves are not the key elements utilized in our understanding of communication. Things like body language, facial expressions and tone of voice shape the way we interpret what words mean to us.
How easy is it to misunderstand someone's text message and/or email because of the emotion we assume are behind the words? How can you avoid getting into an argument over text messaging and/or email?
