Today we’re going to discuss US Visa policy around foreigners who would like to invest in businesses in the US AND legally live in the US. The two programs we’re going to address are the E2 Visa (i.e. the "investor visa") and the EB5 Immigrant Investor program. Both require business investments in the US but have different levels of investment and create different legal status for the investor.
Joining us is Matt Roy, the founder of the New Atlantic Management Group. New Atlantic is a business advisory firm that helps foreign investors and entrepreneurs get started in the U.S. while meeting the complex requirements of these immigration programs. New Atlantic's mission is to support entrepreneurship, international trade, and foreign investment in the U.S.
Matt is also a Former U.S. Consular Officer with the State Department. He worked at the U.S Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany, where he was responsible for adjudicating Investor Visa applications for 2 years. Matt also has an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, and has significant Finance and Business Development experience with early-stage companies.
