And So, some call them APOSTLE, PROPHET, EVANGELIST, PASTOR, TEACHER, BISHOP, ELDER, DEACON, PREACHER AND MINISTER... but who are these religious leaders, from a biblical perspective, and, are those who are holding these offices and titles living up to the definition and divine expectations that their office entails? In other words, is the "apostle" doing what an apostle is called by God to do, or, is that "apostle", in truth, exclusively serving as a pastor. Can a pastor serve as a pastor? The answer is a qualified yes. The apostle is to plant, establish, and temporarily serve as pastor of a particular body or bodies of congregations, until God leads him to raise up, from among the Church, one who, with proper training and the ulitimate ability to righty divide the Word of God, will be appointed to succeed him in the office of Pastor.. freeing the Apostle to begin the process of planting, establishing and raising up a pastor all over again; continuning this process as a faithful ambassador of God.
