Call in to speak with the host
Tonight's special guest is Svava Brooks from San Diego, a returning NAASCA family member, one of our favorites. She'll be joined by Rebecca Born from Cincinnati, OH. Rebecca is passionate in her efforts to change the way society looks at and handles sex abuse. Her Zero Tolerance work is a primary prevention approach and focuses on shifting cultural mindsets. She is innovative and dynamic in her approach to training other individuals and agencies in the Restoration Paradigm, and is a passionate speaker. Svava Brooks uses her own childhood experience of growing up in an abusive home suffering both physical and sexual abuse to educate others and hopes to encourage parents to educate their kids and organizations to plan for preventing offenders to use their organizations to access vulnerable children. Svava and Rebecca have dedicated their lives to ending the cycle of abuse through education, awareness and supporting survivors with how to get the help they need. The main focus of Svava's talks is always empowerment and prevention! In all cases, Svava's goal is to show that together, through education, awareness and straight-talk, we can create a safer environment for our children and for generations to come. A Certified Instructor and Facilitator for Darkness to Light Stewards of Children (CSA prevention), Svava has also created programs for adults and teens to learn about the prevention of CSA.
