ON JUNE 26TH, IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, JAMES CRAIG ANDERSON, A 49 YEAR OLD BLACK MAN WAS BEATEN AND THEN RUN OVER BY A GROUP OF WHITE YOUTHS IN A FORD F250 PICKUP TRUCK FROM NEARBY RANKIN COUNTY. DERYL DEDMON JR. THE 18 YEAR OLD DRIVER OF THE TRUCK WAS HEARD TO SAY "I RAN THAT N-WORK OVER" AS HE SPED AWAY FROM THE SCENE. WAS THIS A CRIME OF HATE AND SHOULD THE OFFENDERS BE PROSECUTED UNDER THE SPECIAL HATE CRIMES LAW? WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE STATE OF RACISM IN AMERICA? HAS IT IMPROVED OVER THE PAST 50 YEARS OR REMAINED THE SAME?
