• This month, VA has expanded on an advertising campaign that debuted in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area.  The campaign is now active in 124 cities, with advertisements on local buses.  The ads are designed to make veterans and their family members aware of the VA Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255), which is available around-the-clock, seven days a week.

The White House announced Monday that the ten year federal deficit will be $9 trillion, $2 trillion more than they originally forecast just three months ago. Deficits of this magnitude are unsustainable.

How will we begin to get the deficit under control? A part of the answer is quite simple - drill for more American energy. This will create millions of new jobs and help grow the economy.

If the Obama administration stopped locking away American oil and gas, it's estimated that the government would receive an extra $54.7 billion annually in revenue. In addition, over time it would add more than $8 trillion to the American GDP.
