On this episode of Big Blend Radio’s Way Back When show, Glynn Burrows, history expert and owner of Norfolk Tours UK, joins hosts Nancy J. Reid and Lisa D. Smith to discuss the fascinating history behind England’s numerous historic ruins.

Many of the ruins are thanks to King Henry VIII and the dissolution of the monasteries, but others are due to the emparkment of land, changes in fashions, and the development of different architectural styles. Yet other ruins are due to abandonment of areas due to changes in working methods, and some areas are in ruins due to wars. Read Gluynn's article on England's Ruins on BlendRadioandTV.com

Featured music is “Beneath a Solemn Sky” by the Gunboat Diplomats’ upcoming album “Manifest Destiny”.
