Sonya Aronowitz’s dual passions for the arts and entrepreneurship bring a highly original and independent spirit to the production of new work for performance in Philadelphia.

Sonya is a produced playwright whose work has been seen on stages in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana.  Additionally, she has had careers in public relations (London Theatre School and other non-profits), freelance journalism, charitable gift planning (Princeton University and Bryn Mawr College), and financial services (Merrill Lynch). She founded Juniper Productions, an independent theater production company based in Philadelphia, in 2017.

About our discussion she say, "My career took an entirely different turn from fundraising (specifically charitable gift planning) in 2017 to becoming an independent theater producer. I'd like to explore the challenges and opportunities that I face taking such a turn at my age (early 50s) and share what I have been learning along the way."
