Joanna Powell Colbert ~ artist, writer & teacher of Tarot and earth-centered spirituality ~ is one of “the most accomplished & well-loved artists in the Goddess-spirit community.” Her work has appeared in many publications since the mid-1980s, including SageWoman & Circle Magazine. The Gaian Tarot, nine years in the making, combines Joanna’s love of symbolic, archetypal art with the mysteries of Mama Gaia, the natural world. The limited edition Majors-Only deck sold out before it was released in 2004. The deck is featured in US Games’ Encyclopedia of Tarot, Volume 4. A mass market version of the Gaian Tarot will be published by Llewellyn Worldwide in 2011. The Collector's (Limited) Edition is currently available for order from the Gaian Tarot website. The Gaian Tarot was created during the decade Joanna lived on a small island near Bellingham, Washington.
