Ultimate is a team sport played with a flying disc. While originally called ultimate frisbee, it is now officially called simply “Ultimate” , in order to avoid any potential trademark infringement on Frisbee.™

Ultimate relies heavily upon a “Spirit of the Game” (SOTG), that places the responsibility for fair play on each and every player. There are no referees; the players are solely responsible for following and enforcing the rules, even at World Championship!

Popularity of the sport has spread quickly. It has this kind of “freedom” allure that is different from other organized sports. In recent years college Ultimate has attracted a greater number of athletes, raising the level of competition and athleticism and providing a challenge to its laid back, free-spirited roots.
