  Build relationships in business - Jeff Simpkins
  

  Relationships are like gardening... a wonderful analogy that my guest, Jeff Simpkins, President & CEO, Community Bank Consulting, Inc. uses to describe how it is to build quality relationships.  "You slowly tend the soil to make sure it have all that it needs, you lovingly plant the seeds, water and fertilize, look for weeds and carefully remove those that come up... you nurture it, the relationship grows deep-roots..." How nice to have a deep-rooted relationship. 
  To often in business we get discouraged when there is not an immediate response. Be consistent and constant when communicating what you and your business is about.  Get out from behind the desk and ask what their needs are - not just telling them about our services is key to having the kind of business relationships that enhance and inspire us and provide the service that enhance our clients.
