My Grandparents with 11 kids, ate better during The Great Depression, than the 3,000 people, in the Tent City, Shanty Town, in Sacramento, California.

What has happened in America?

Not only Sacramento, but that Centre of the MicroSoft Universe, Seattle, also has a Tent City.

People, who just a few months ago were living the Ameican Dream.

Which Screenwriter will win the Oscar, for Best Original Screenplay, next year, for their hit movie, The American Nightmare.

Each night, when i tune into  Brian Williams,  Katie on CBS, and Charles Gibson on ABC, I don't know whether to get on my knees and thank God, that I live in Toronto, or fill up my Merlot and then get on my knees.

Today, I treated myself to my favorite buffet lunch, at The Chef of India, at 38 Eglinton Ave. East, just a 13 minute walk sw of my residence.  The food is fantastic, the staff, friendly and helpful.  I counted 40 diners in the dining room with me.

As I sat eating my Butter Chicken and veggies, I couldn't help but worry and send sympathy through the ether, to those people making soup with water, and potatoes, on the West Coast.  Oh yes, they had some canned tomatoes to jazz it up a bit.

And what about the Baby Boomer Couple, who retired with a million and a half in their nest egg, who, happened to choose Bernie Madoff, to guide them through their Golden Years.

They began  their Retirment Dream by traveling in their RV across America, and landed in Arizona, with no money, no investments, no home - just their RV, which is their home now.  But, they don't even have gasoline qnd are stranded in Arizona.

Thank God they chose a warm south western state.
God forbid they wanted to see the Land of Lakes, Minnesotota.

And then there is the 90 year old gentleman, another one of Bernie Madoff's clients, who is forced, to work as a  Greeter, at his local supermarket.

I am so happy to live in Toronto, i can't tell you.

But I just did.

What do i expect next week when Bernie Madoff goes to court?

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 21st Century Version of Jack Ruby.
