    That's the only 2 words I had to hear to tune in.

    I agree with Joe 10,000%.  He has a right to write his Memoirs about his
    12 years with the NY Yankees.

    You'd do it too. 

    Joe did it, but not for the money.

    I would've done the same thing, walked.

    And I don't mean after 4 Balls.

    The contract, that George Steinbrenner presented to Joe Torre, was an insult.

    Joe Torre never needed an "incentive" to win.

    I'm right there witcha, Joe.

    Dangling a carrot, of a higher salary, IF you make it to the Playoffs, is

    Rude
    A Slap in the face to one of Baseball's best players and Managers ever
    Unbelievable
    Shows the depth of George Steinbrenner' s stoooopidity (sic).
    Shows the manipulative tendencies of George Steinbrenner
    Quick, someone call Dr. Phil, STAT.

    I could go on and on,  but I don't know a really good Libel Lawyer in Toronto.

    I loved when Joe stated that George treated Billy worse.

    Billy Martin.  I still light a candle for you every Christmas.

    (For those of you who do not know Baseball Trivia, Billy Martin, died in an
    accident, Christmas Day, 1989, in Ithica, NY, where he lived, off season).

    Yes, I have every New York Daily News,  from the summer of 1977, with the
    headlines, "Fired,"    "Hired,"  "Fired ...  Again"

    What a summer that was.

    And I still can't forgive the umpire, who worked the September 22 Game,
    between the Phillies and The Dodgers, and didn't call the Game, because of rain.

    Had he called it The Phillies would've gone to The Series that October.

    And you could look it up.

    And can somebody explain to me, A-Rod's "obsession," with Jeter?

    They have been rivals since childhood.

    A-Rod may be the more talented player, as stated by Joe, but Jeter just
    exudes Class.

    Sorry to hear that Boomer Wells tried to deliberately drive you nuts, Joe, but
    hang in there, I'm sure you'll live long enough to see Karma.

    It's a Law of the Universe that stands the test of time.

    Nice to see Mickey Mantle's Bar featured, my favorite Central Park South Hangout,
    whenever I get back home.

    Many an afternoon I have sat there, munching and schmoozing, with the locals.

    There's no such thing as too much Baseball.

    I think Joe handled the interview, the call in questions,  and e-mails, with dignity.

    He did not bad-mouth anyone.

    Way to go Joe.

    He simply tells and told The Truth.

    How many CEO's on Wall Street can say the same?

    Toronto Psychic Betsy Balega European Tour

    My life is never dull, that's for sure.

    Just when things seem quiet, the phone will ring, and the next thing ya know, I'm shooting a tv interview, filming a documentary, or reading at the Toronto International Film Festival parties or schmoozing with Paris on Queen West.

    Today at 12:30 my caller id showed a Toronto number, so i picked it up, surely not a telemarketer.

    Mais non, Hastings.

    It was my best friend, next door neighbor from Pennsylvania and Partner in Crime for the past 47 years.

    Bill the Dude. 

    He is the original entrepreneur.

    Forget Ralph and Norton, Bill and The Gang from The Bloody 5th, make anyone from Bensonhurst look tame.

    Bill has now sunk, what half a million, into Route 66.

    Route 66 the newest, and only American Style Bar, in Lithuania,  in the Capital City of
    Vilinius.

    My name got around to someone over there, a Business Associate, who is booking me for my first and i hope not my last European Psychic Tour.

    So many friends, in England, Ireland and Scotland.

    The last 2 winters in Toronto have been brutal and as of today it is mild in Vilinius.

    Toronto Psychic Betsy Balega: Let The Spending Begin

    Happened to be out and about yesterday in my neighborhood.  Decided to walk home on a
    different side of the street, unfortunately, it wasn't the sunny side.

    Winter in Toronto can be like the US Economy - relentless.

    At each turn, when you are hoping for the best, the temp dips to -30 with the windchill.

    BRrrrrrito time. 

    What a coincidence, burritos are on sale, after 5 PM on Mondays, at Mosquito Moe's.

    Or is that Mesquito?  Don't ask me, I've never lived in the Southwest, though the sunsets are awesome, so they look.

    Back to my blog.

    Hey,  yesterday was Monday, it was after 5, so i took advantage of the Joe's Combo.

    Why it is called the Joe Combo.  What happened to Moe.

    As far as that goes, Manny and Jack too.

    I slathered the salsa dip into my basket of free corn chips and chowed down on the aforementioned Monday Special.

    Gee whiz, every restaurant in Toronto now has plasma tvs all tuned into either CP24
    or CNN.  Moe's was no different.

    The Buzz was all about spending, spending and more spending.

    If anyone has the answer, how more spending will solve the American Economy
    Crisis, please let me know.  splurging, over spending and credit, credit and more
    credit, created this monster.  This Economic Nightmare.

    Don't get me started on AIG, Merrill Lynch, Home Depot, Citibank, the Mets new stadium naming rights.

    The American People own so much of what once was Corporate America, it's Amazin, just like those 1969 Mets. 

    Looks like America is now in the Contraceptive business too. 

    In other Toronto News, it seems the big snowstorm, headed for the East Coast has skipped us, at least for today.

    Tomorrow is another day.

    And on that note, I pray it is a brighter one.

    Toronto Psychic Betsy Balega Blog What I Don't Like About Obama . . . so far

    It only took one day, 24 hours or perhaps less, for me to find fault with President Obama's Crew.

    Why?

    Pray Tell.

    I shall.

    Watching NBC, on Wednesday, January 22, it was made clear, that Obama and his Campaign Team,intend to hand over his e-mail address list to the National Democratic Party honchos so they can mine the list for future votes for Democrats across the USA.

    Thanks a lot, pal.

    I unsubscribed today and gave the powers that be, the reason why,  i no longer want their e-mail clogging up my email pipeline.

    Damn, it's bad enough when drains get clogged.

    And in other Toronto News, subway shooting yesterday at 10:50 AM at the
    Osgoode Subway Station.

    Pity.

    What is this city coming to?

    Hell at -24C?

    To all you ganstas out there on the TTC get off the tube, and if you need to shoot something, try pool.

    Not people.

    Life is sacred.

    And in other Toronto News, or Canadian News, pardon moi, NHL Players are facing and taking,  a 13.5% pay cut.

    They can afford it.

    Toronto Maple Leafs, as we all know, is the richest NHL Team out there.

    We enjoyed 2 days of the January Thaw, when temps in TO, got all the way to 2C.

    That is 35F for you Americans.

    Tomorrow another Arctic Blast arrives.

    Those Alberta Clippers are a killer.

    Double damn.

    But that makes it fun staying inside and watching old movies on The Drive In Theatre Channel.  Last night a double header with Glenn Ford, Sgy. Bannion, Gloria Graham, a B Girl, and Lee Marvin as a mobster, in The Big Heat.

    Followed by Barbara  Stanwyck in Witness to Murder.  Produced by Chester Erskine.

    That is the 2nd Erskine i have seen on tv in the past week.  Hmmnm.  OK, you know i don't believe in coincidences.  I live on Erskine Ave.  What is going on here.  For years i never knew an Erskine, and now, they are popping up like Obama memorabilia.

    We will see where this leads.

    Toronto Psychic Betsy Balega Blog for Tuning in with Betsy

    Hope y'all survived the Inauguration Festivities on tv yesterday.

    I happened to get delayed at Yonge and Eg and ended up at the Anne Johnston Health Centre, for an hour.

    Thank you to the wonderful staff and nurses there,  who greeted me in from the cold, -24C in Toronto, and delivered me via Royal Taxi,  to my home 2 blocks away.

    Thanks so much.  Grazie.  Merci.  Much appreciated.  I won't forget you.  What goes around comes around and I am sure there are some sweets with your names on them, for Movie Day, March 13 when The Secret Life of Bees is shown at the Centre.  5:30 - P PM.  See you there.  2398 Yonge Street.  NW corner.     Got home in time to see the Swearing In Ceremony but what's with the Judge who didn't know the Oath?

    How embarrassing.

    President Obama had the oath memorized,  and picked up instantly, on the judges fox paw.

    Watched the Parade, but Boston's Ch. 7 busted in with their news cast at 6 pm.

    Then over to NBC for the Nightly News with Brian Williams.

    Off to the Neighborhood Ball after that.  Stevie Wonder you done good.  Always do.

    A lovely and lively lineup of performers.  Fantastico.

    I was not Obama-ed Out, but turned on Dateline, for what else, reruns of the days events down Pennsylvania Avenue.

    By 11 i just had to switch over to Ghostly Encounters.  One of my favorite Canadian tv shows.

    Speaking of which, "coincidentally"  I was contacted yesterday afternoon,to be interviewed for an upcoming tv show, here in my Beloved Toronto.

    Obama Mania Goes Global Time for The NWO?

    Ok, I have been keeping a low, quiet profile, as Obama Mania goes global.

    I have lived long enough to wait for the other shoe to drop.

    And I know enough about the Book of Daniel to know that certain Mysteries won't be revealed till The End Times.

    How 'bout that Babylon?

    I have watched every day as Love of Obama has grown, and grown and grown.

    And  how bout that  Bono?

    Now Obama has made the United States a reality.  The USA exists now for Europe, because Obama has made it so.  So said Mr. Bono yesterday at the Lincoln Memorial.

    Hmmmm.

    Who would like to bet, that the USA will some day be invited to join the European Union?

    That's what I hear in certain circles.

    Move over Drudge Report.

    What would it take for a NWO to become a Reality?

    A charismatic leader whom everyone loves, adores, believes they walk on water and can do no wrong.

    I am just watching and praying.

    I am an observer.

    Did you know that Henry Kissinger recently made a statement that Obama would be the perfect candidate to bring the NWO into existence.
    Excuse me while I go make a martini.

    I don't drink martinis, but this might get me started.


    You will be hearing more about the NWO on my show as 2009 gets closer to 2011.

    Remember that year, 2011, I believe that is the year Nostradamus predicts WWIII will begin.

    I feel that I am living under the Chinese Curse: May you live in interesting times.

    A dear friend of mine, emailed me today, saying he reads and keeps up to date with Bible Prophecy, Nostradamus and everything he can learn about this insane world we live in.

    He told me, he felt these End Times would be seen during his lifetime, but he is wishing he were wrong.
