Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, is going to bring his own
Government down, before the Opposition can collapse it.

Mr. Prime Minister is anticipating an Obama Win and is preparing for it now.
So, the only logical thing, is for him to call an early September Election in
Canada.

To all my American Cousins out there, don't ask me to explain the
Canadian Political System, just remember you read it here first.

You'll see it.

No big surprise to everyone North of 49.

By now all of Toronto knows about the accident, Sunday, on the 400,  near the city of
Barrie, Ontario,.  The 5 friends were returning home to Toronto, from a weekend getaway in
Algonquin Park.

All 5 men,  ages 19 - to their early 20's,  were NOT wearing seatbelts.

All 5 men were thrown out of their SUV, when it was cut off by another vehicle on Hwy 400.

Speed and alcohol did not play a part in this fatal crash.  One young man has died at
a local Toronto Hospital, as another of the passengers clings to life with serious head
injuries. 

It is difficult to fathom, why they weren't wearing seatbelts. 

Too confining, who cares, it's a short drive home, just a couple of hours, and it
will never happen to me.

Think again.

And buckle up.

Yes I did receive an e-mail from the Obama Camp earlier today,  announcing Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr.,  of Delaware, was chosen  as Barack's Vice President.

This blog is not about  Who the 2nd Most Powerful Man on Earth might be in November.

It is to remind, tell, inform, bug, harass, cajole, shame, cower, prod, nag, pest, rag on My Fellow Americans, and Dual Citizens, to make the big trip this week, to Toronto City Hall and register to vote.   Diddy's not the only American who cares.

Democrats Abroad will be at the Rotunda at City Hall this week, Monday, August 25, Tuesday August 26 and Wednesday, August 27th.

A Baby Moose was found roaming around Falls Creek, BC.  So, not only being polite, the Canadians who found Mr./Ms. Moose took the Baby Moose inside to dish out some Northern Hospitality.

I especially like a Moose who knows how to use a dishwasher *see below*

If the Moose had chosen my house, the bottle would have Merlot, not juice inside.

Forget those late night drunked up dames on a beach somewhere, south of the border (and don't bother to sue me for using the term "dames," it's a moot point) but ah, I digress.

It is not Wild Blondes on the loose in BC, but Black Bears.  Forget Yogi and Boo-Boo.

These bears mean business.

If you're considering vacationing in Coquitlam, BC, i suggest you Google, Expedia.com right now!

And book a hotel room, like, on the 30th Floor.

Bears Gone Wild began last week, when a Coquitlam woman, was mauled and is now recuperating in the hospital.  She is lucky to be alive.

The latest Bear News, is that a 400  pound Black Bear, broke into a man's basement apartment in Coquitlam yesterday.

Thank God the tenant  wasn't home, when ole Blackie the Bear came a callin,  lookin for something to munch on, or it might have been him!

What is causing this rash of Bear and Break-Ins?

The Spring was unseasonably cool, and berries are at a premium.

Poor Blackie, hightailed it up a pine tree, but was shot with a  Tranquilizer
pellet.

 Forget Tasers.  The RCMP were not foolin around with this Big Black Footed Bear.

He was put down permanently for his Big Sleep.

And the citizens of Coquitlam can sleep soundly ...   for now.

And in Other Canadian News.

I went shopping yesterday.  I decided it was time to
invest in some new shoes.  Flip Flops and Crocs can only take ya so far in the
Canadian Summer.

I came across a huge Shoe Sale in Toronto,.  2 pairs for $10.  Yes, you read that right
and no, I was not at Bloor and Bathurst at Honest Ed's Emporium.

I was at Yonge and Eglinton at whatever this shopping centre is called.

How can you live 20 years in the same 'hood and not know the mall's name.

I don't know, but I can.

What caught my eye, and my money,  were a pair of robin egg bleu shoes.

And the partner pair are electric pink sandals,  with a 2 inch wedgie heel.

That means, that when wearing these electro sandals, I stand a cool 5'10."

Do these shoes match any of my outfits in my closet?  Mais, non!
Absolutely not.
Then why did I buy them?

You tell  me. 

Ain't I a Marketing Managers Dream?

Mais, oui!

I knew before, during the sales process, and after the sale, that I have nothing
matching these shoes.  But I did not care.

Hell, no!

It felt good to go out and blow 100 bucks in an afternoon.

Yes, I know the shoes were only $10 but that did not include the Chinese Buffet at
The Mandarin (adjacent to the Yonge/Eglinton Centre Mall, Shopping
Centre, whatever the hell yer name is), nor the $8.50 bottle of Merlot, French no less,
on sale at the LCBO,  my Postal Money Order, one American Stamp (that'll set ya back dont'cha know it)., a bag of cheddar cheese organic chips and 2 bags of avocadoes.

Hey money's only money.

Besides, I are doing my Patriotic Duty, spending money in Canada,  supporting my
local farmers, cobblers and restaurants.

And i'm doin it all over again at 6 tonight.

Is there an Irish Pub Owner/Manager at  Yonge/Eglinton that Betsy Balega does not know?

Mais, non!  I think not. 

And if I see any Black  Bears at Yonge and Eglinton,  comin out ofEglinton Park,  the drinks are on me.

Make mine a double, Boo-boo.

I always knew I had a voice for Television.

If you can think it, dream it,  see it, in your minds eye, you can do it.  What you focus on and dwell on, will appear in time.
