Tuning In With Betsy  

From the Only In Canada File, 12 million honey bees are loose in New Brunswick, Canada  today.

Beekeepers are retrieving the bees from a section of the Trans-Canada Highway.

Do not ask me how you do this, because I don't have a clue.

Personally, I am rooting for the bees to high tail it out of the Halifax area, and head for the hills.

Freedom!

Those bees need to pollinate and copulate and populate the bee population after the past few years when bees were dropping like flies.

Did anyone have a game, Tickle Bee, when they were a kid?

I did.  My favorite toy, that must've set my mother back at least $1.

If you google Tickle Bee, you will see what amused my 8 year old mind and that may explain how i developed into the person i am today.

Hours spend with a magnet pen, coaxing a red bee, with a magnet under his belly, to come and let Betsy lead him up the maze to the honey hive.

I actually succeeded a few times, but more often, I got stung by the red rascal.

Ahhhh, those were the days.  Don't mention the Rubik Cube. I took one home one Christmas for my Dad, and gave him a stern warning Do Not, under ANY circumstances, turn or twist this cube, because I do not know how to get it back together.

Enter, Matt, my dad's fishing buddy.    In 2 seconds, zip, zap, zook!  My perfect , or now, my Dad's perfect Rubik's Cube was messed up!.

grrrr.  For 5 days no one could get the Cube back to "normal."  Then, Ed, my Dad, decided it was his turn.

All he did was touch it, and KABOOM!  The Cube exploded!  All over the tv room

I couldn't stopp laughing  Now, not only didDadi not only have a screwed up Rubik's Cube it was lying all over the carpet.  Now what the hell?  Not only were the colored squares all over the joint, but screws, and every other gizmo thingamajiggy that makes a Rubik's Cube a Rubik's Cube.  I am sure no one else on the planet except the manufacturerer, ever say the guts laid out like Tom Turkey on Thanksgiving Day. 

Dad to the rescue.

He got out the Crazy Glue and his glasses.About 5 hours later, Rubik's Cube was put back together, Humpty Dumpty had nothin on my Pop.

Only problem, he handed me one screw, which somehow had escaped his craftsmanship .I wasn't about to bitch over one scrawny screw.  Who needed it?  No one would ever know. 

The Rubik's Cube sits silently at my house in Pennsylvania.  Every time I see it, i get into laughing hysterics, like I am now, at my computer, as I write this.  As they say, you had to be there.  I was and i'll never forget it.

 Tickle Bee, you were fun and gave me memories, but none like Ed and his Rubik's Cube.
