Tuning In With Betsy  

Back in March, 2008, I posted about being the Lost and Found Psychic of Toronto.  At that time, someone had lost a dvd and after calling me, they found the dvd within 15 minutes.

The person was so impressed - shocked would be the more appropos word, that a psychic can be so accurate.
 
She booked a reading.  She was about to take a job with an Insurance Company in Mississauga, 25 miles from her home.

I told her she'd get the job, stay 2 weeks -- then leave due to not feeling fulfilled.  

I proceeded to tell her not to worry, she would accept a position with Bell Canada and better still, she would be working in MY Neighborhood at Yonge and Eglinton.  When that happens, we can  do .lunch, go for dinner and don't forget the Wine Bars.

I am sure she thought I had lost all my marbles, if not at least 99.5% of them. (Wine can do that, right?). 

The first half of the prediciton came true in April.  She left the Insurance company after 2 weeks.

She was upset, worried and concerned.

And me?

Cool as a cucumber.  As confident as The Yankee Clipper, The Bambino and A-Rod rolled into one.

Toronto is an Expensive City.  She e-mailed, contacted me on Facebook (look over there to the right and you can find me there too) and I did not reply.

I knew she did not need another reading.  One is enough.

I don't want to get people "hooked" on psychic advice.  We all must live our lives and make our choices.

Someone else might have gone after the money.  Not me.  That's not my style.

When Spirit talks, i listen.  I knew what i heard and there was no need for her to book another psychic reading.

Today, I received this e-mail.

Please tell Betsy her prediction has come true that I am working for
Bell Canada at Yonge/Eglinton starting June 12th. She predicted the date
and place back in March.

We're doing lunch in June.

Spirit never lies.  And to all the skeptics, I say, bring it on.

Marry.

This quote just in from Yahoo News and Sarah Jessica Parker about the Summer Blockbuster Movie,  Sex in the City,  "But what they (fans) might not expect is that the shank of the movie is pretty sad."

Uh - oh, does that mean female movie goers are going to be disappointed?  Will someone be left at the altar?

Will Big get a case of Cold Feet, Committmen Phobia, I don't wanna say I do, I thunk it over and being Single in the City beats all.

Does this mean Kleenex will spike on the NYSE and TSX?

Securities Poobah, this is NOT an Insider Trader's Tip.

Don't report me, don't arrest me.

It's just my uneducated guess, Sex in the City may turn out to be a 2 Kleenex Boxes Movie, if these 2 Love Birds do not, finally, after 10 years together, 6 of them on TV, do not speak their Holy, Solemn Wedding Vows.

Whaddya mean it's just a movie?  These aren't Real People.?  They're actors?
Playing a part.?  Gee, guess i got  Carrie-ed away.  I gotta get a life. One of these days.

But, if they don't say I do, there's hope for a sequel.

Way to go Carrie and Big.

 

First and foremost Happy Memorial Day to all my Fellow Americans.

The Day to remember the dead.  The dead are more alive than we are.

It's never goodbye, it's only I'll see ya later, but you'll hear more about that later this year when my book, Being Mystic In-Touch with God is published and I hit the trail to do my book tour.

Wait, let's back up, I'm getting ahead of myself.

Life is a circle.  We've all heard that, but recently something has occurred in my life, which reinforces that core belief.

When I first arrived here in Toronto, my 2 closest pals, actually, my only 2 pals, Mickey Kay and Elliot Kaplan, were my partners in crime.  That was the day, when we could ride our Honda Motorcycles (no Harleys till later),  down University Avenue at 4 am, walk down University Avenue at 4 am and no one bothered you.  Don't try that now.

We would have a late night dinner at the famous Sai Woo Restaurant at 130 Dundas St. West in Toronto, the beginning of Chinatown.  Just around the corner at Yonge and Dundas on the NW corner.

Fun, fun, fun.

Freedom, hot summer nights and more fun.

The Kay's owned an Electronics Business and DJ Service, which gave me unlimited access to the Best Parties in town.

Elliot Kaplan had a Woman's Clothing Business in the King Eddie Hotel.  I'd help with modelling the new designs and no money exchanged hands, but damn I was the Best Dressed Motorcycle Mama in the City. 

Sadly, the Sai Woo has passed into Toronto Culinary History.  Resurrected somewhere in the 'burbs, but never quite the same. 

Strangely, or coincidentally, or call it Fate, I'll be meeting up with the owner and  organizing Special Events at,  where else?  130 Dundas St. West, at the One Up Restaurant.

Stay tuned for the Martini Madness, the Movie Madness, Dancing with the Stars Parties, and don't forget the Toronto International Film Festival.  Look for Italy to be annexed during July, to celebrate, along with Little Italy, the Jonny Lombardi  Italian Festival for Canada Day.

Several months back, on my show, Tuning in with Betsy, I made a comment to a guest, that several other psychics "see"  Hillary Clinton, as President..  I wasn't having the same vision, no pun intended.  I hope all visions for the USA Presidential Campain, The Presidential Race  and Election Night are positive visons and the future of America is bright and sunny.

There was never any doubt that Mr B. Obama, with such high profile friends as Ms. O, Oprah, to name just one of a stable of A-listers with deep pockets who are willing to back Obama from Hollywood Blvd. to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, wouldn't  be just a flash in the pan.

Money talks and everything else walks.

If anyone remembers the famous Levy's Rye Bread ad that used to run on WABC in New York City in the 60's. 

It was a few years later when I found out the rest of that saying.  The real meaning, not the euphymism.

There is no  "nice" in Politics. 

Toronto TV stations and radio stations across the city, are taking polls and phone calls asking  would Hillary lose because she is a woman?  Or because she runs out of cold, hard cash?

What amazed me was the number of females calling tv stations, stating, "I am 
American and I would not vote for her because at the end of the day, who is running the country, she or her husband?  There have been enough Clintons in the White House and enough Bushes too."

Over and over, disgruntled Americans, living in Toronto, called in to say the same thing.  They want a New Start.  Their concern was that Obama doesn't have a lot of experience.

Ok, we all must start somewhere..

I will observe now,  what happens when Barack Obama gets the nod, and he surely will, will the color of his skin make a difference?

Will Caucasians, in "certain states,"  vote for McCain, simply because he isn't Black?  Will they hang onto their old way of thinking and mind sets, or think outside the Voting Booth or the Prejudiced Past.

Which one will bring our kids home from a war half way around the world?

Which one will put some bounce back in the American Economy?

Who is going to make a difference, when people must decide, do I eat, or put gas in my car?

Harry Medved told me this morning on the show, "You have a blessed life."

You're damn right Harry, I don't need to choose to eat or drive.

I am not in an "Either Or" Situation.

And for that I am grateful.  

Prosperity and abundance are for everyone, and that's no secret.

We just need to get to that point where we set aside petty differences, and do our best for each other and our country, whether it's the Good Old US of A, or Canada, or any nation on this earth, and by so doing, we will all win.
